My Degrees

  • B.A., Classics

With a Bachelor’s of Arts in Classics from the University of Kentucky, my mastery of languages like Latin and Greek and my unique blend of ancient history, folklore, and mythology serves any story.

  • M.S., Instructional Systems Design

Every story is, at heart, a mini-lesson, imparting knowledge about characters and plot along with the wisdom of theme. Education and training is my forte, and my Master’s degree in Instructional Systems Design lends me a unique lens from which to edit.

My Certifications

  • FCSC-in-Training

I am currently training to be a Fictionary Certified StoryCoach Editor. I expect to receive my certification before the end of 2025.

  • Save the Cat! Write a Novel Training

I completed the training offered by Jessica Brody, the author of Save the Cat! Writes a Novel.

  • The Complete Novel Revision Certificate

I completed The Complete Novel Revision course offered by Writing Mastery Academy.

  • eCornell Project Management

I am certified in Project Management from eCornell. This course equipped me with the tools and skills to manage projects such as editing a manuscript.

  • Biddy Tarot Certified Tarot Advisor

Another non-traditional certificate for an editor. Tarot is the ultimate practice of Archetypes, enabling me to understand a variety of character types and their wounds, motivations, wants, and needs.

  • Yale Women's Leadership Certificate

I received a certificate from Yale for Women’s Leadership. While not a typical certificate to include in an editing profile, I find that it allows me to better connect with female characters on a psychological level.
